About The Position

Ironclad Defense Works is seeking a Senior Counter-Uncrewed Systems / Counter-IED Capability Development SME to support NATO Allied Command Transformation in Norfolk, Virginia. This role will support development of NATO Counter-UxS and Counter-IED capabilities across the full DOTMLPFI lifecycle. The successful candidate will combine operational Counter-UAS, Counter-Threat, Force Protection, or C-IED expertise with capability-development and program-management experience in multinational military environments.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or equivalent military-college qualification in engineering, information systems, aeronautics, Operations Research, project management, business administration, or related discipline; or bachelor’s degree plus five years of relevant experience.
  • At least three years of recent experience briefing senior leaders.
  • At least five years of operational C-UxS/C-IED experience within the past 12 years at Tactical, Operational, or Strategic levels.
  • Relevant backgrounds may include C-UAS Staff Officer/Cell Lead, Counter-Threat or Force Protection Staff Officer, or C-IED Team/Cell experience in a Joint Headquarters.
  • At least two years of recent program/project management experience in complex military capability development.
  • At least two years of multinational or NATO experience and familiarity with NATO agencies.
  • ACTIVE SECRET CLEARANCE FROM U.S. OR NATO MEMBER NATION REQUIRED

Responsibilities

  • Support development of NATO C-UxS and C-IED capability products.
  • Support Counter-Threat and Force Protection program-management activities.
  • Contribute to C-UAS initiatives and related Beacon projects.
  • Develop, analyze, evaluate, and trace capability requirements.
  • Support doctrine, policies, CONOPS, courses of action, and alternatives.
  • Coordinate capability development across DOTMLPFI.
  • Engage NATO agencies, national militaries, academia, and Centers of Excellence.
  • Support capability validation.
  • Capture lessons and best practices.
  • Support workshops, conferences, and multinational coordination activities.
