The Senior Counselor promotes and supports the physical, emotional, and mental well-being of the campus community. This role primarily focuses on providing counseling and consultation related to mental health issues for our students, residents, and fellows who face the unique challenges of rigorous clinical training. The Senior Counselor also develops and implements wellness programs as requested by various Deans of the college, the Office of Student Success, and department chairs and/or Graduate Medical Education program directors related to optimal workplace culture, civility, stress management, conflict management and other holistic needs of campus learners. Additionally, they serve as an advisor for campus leadership to assist in ensuring that institutional policies and practices align with the highest ideals of excellence in learning and workplace cultures.
