About The Position
EverQuote seeks a seasoned Senior Counsel, Litigation & Marketing Compliance to join its in-house legal team. This critical role combines oversight of complex litigation matters with leadership of a best-in-class marketing compliance program, directly supporting EverQuote’s mission to connect consumers and insurance providers through a results-driven, technology-powered marketplace.
Requirements
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active bar membership
- At least 7 years of relevant legal experience
- Significant time in consumer protection law
- Significant time in complex litigation management
- Deep expertise in digital and direct marketing compliance
- Strong judgment
- Excellent communication skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience in the insurance regulatory environment
- Prior in-house roles
- Familiarity with privacy laws
- Familiarity with marketing automation tools
Responsibilities
- Manage active litigation, including class actions and regulatory investigations, by directing outside counsel, developing litigation strategy, and maintaining accurate risk reporting.
- Own the company’s marketing compliance program—ensuring adherence to TCPA, CAN-SPAM, FCC, and state-level consumer protection statutes.
- Monitor regulatory developments, conduct compliance reviews, and deliver training to internal stakeholders.
