About The Position

As a Senior Cost Manager at Linesight, you will work with experienced, culturally diverse teams and contribute to a collaborative environment and the company’s business strategy. The position focuses on cost management for client projects, including tendering, cost planning, change management, project spend oversight, final accounts, and construction claims. Requirements

• Experience as a Senior Cost Manager, ideally in a consultancy environment.
• Experience in pre-contract cost management, budget control, and cost planning.
• Experience preparing and initiating change forms for discussion with project stakeholders.
• Knowledge of alternative construction materials.
• Chartered status or progress toward completing chartership.
• A degree or comparable experience in a project management or construction discipline.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment and manage personal priorities and deadlines.
• Ability to build strong relationships with teams and clients through shared purpose, openness, and fun.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the tender and bid process, from preparing initial documentation through analysis and reporting.
• Manage the change management process by identifying, analyzing, approving, and implementing changes that affect project costs.
• Analyze tenders and bids to ensure value for money for clients.
• Assist with preparing and agreeing final accounts, including handling claims to ensure clients receive the best value from work undertaken.
• Create estimates and cost plans for key client developments.
• Oversee project spend by creating valuations and cost reports, and clearly communicate variations to the team.
• Support agile project management and informed decision-making through clear cost documentation and timely communication.
• Support the transparent settlement of construction disputes and loss and expense claims.
• Mentor and lead employees to foster strong performance and growth.
