Learn more about working with us at topconcareers.com We seek a motivated, enthusiastic and experienced Senior Cost Accountant to join a dynamic global finance team. The Senior Cost Accountant will partner with a team of six others in US & Canada, and have joint responsibility for Accounting & Reporting for Supply Chain related accounts and activities, including Inventory and Cost of Goods Sold. Other key objectives of this role include business partnering with Sales, Purchasing, Warehouse & Operations, as well as periodic budgeting and forecasting.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with a major in accounting or finance field
- 5+ years of experience in a finance or accounting role
- Extremely detail-oriented with excellent reasoning & analytical skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- SAP Experience preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Must be a self-motivated, independent yet collaborative team player, eager to learn
Responsibilities
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement presentation, with a focus on Supply Chain accounting
- Partner with Purchasing function to forecast demand and process site-based purchase orders
- Drive improvement in financial operation metrics, with a focus on Inventory Months-on-Hand
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards
- Develop and maintain internal control framework
- Balance Sheet & Gross Margin Variance Analysis
- Collaborate with auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audit
