The Cost Accountant is responsible for developing, reviewing, and controlling standard costs while analyzing manufacturing variances and their impact on the P&L. This position supports the monthly financial close process, inventory accounting, cost analysis, and financial reporting within a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include reconciling raw materials, work-in-process (WIP), and finished goods inventory; calculating inventory turns and obsolescence; preparing month-end journal entries; reconciling accounts; reviewing monthly financials; and supporting effective gross margin management.
