About The Position

The Senior Corporate Recruiter-Team Lead is a proactive, resourceful individual who operates with a strong sense of urgency, accuracy, and integrity. This role involves bringing new ideas, improving processes, and tackling challenges. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who builds trust with candidates, hiring managers, and leadership. Responsibilities include proactively sourcing candidates, building pipelines, and maintaining momentum on difficult requisitions. Experience in both staffing agency and corporate recruiting environments is beneficial. This role also involves leading by example, managing a team of Recruiting Assistants, and fostering an environment for their growth and development. The candidate will mentor and guide recruiters, strengthening best practices, sourcing strategies, communication, and overall recruiting excellence. They should be comfortable with difficult conversations, hold themselves accountable, and champion team success, bringing positive energy and a drive for strong results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and five to seven years of full‑cycle recruiting experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, with the ability to fill multiple hard‑to‑fill roles simultaneously
  • Three to five years of recruiting cleared, technical positions within government contracting or the federal industry
  • Experience in both staffing agency and corporate recruiting environments preferred
  • Strong sourcing experience on Indeed and LinkedIn; ClearanceJobs experience preferred
  • Professionalism, strong organization skills, and excellent communication abilities with effective verbal and written negotiation skills
  • Confident in communicating multiple perspectives and providing constructive feedback to hiring managers in a respectful way
  • Competitive, results‑driven, and focused on outcomes rather than effort alone
  • Expert Boolean searcher and proactive recruiter who identifies and engages passive talent with urgency

Responsibilities

  • Sourcing candidates with urgency and building /maintaining strong pipelines for current and future hiring needs
  • Supporting staffing efforts for proposal work and key personnel roles, including positions that may be contingent on funding or contract award
  • Reviewing resumes and applications, interviewing candidates, and evaluating technical competence, background, skills, goals, and organizational fit
  • Attending and conducting meetings with hiring managers to understand business needs, programs, and job requirements; executes complex recruiting strategies
  • Collaborating with hiring managers, drafts compelling job descriptions, determining effective screening questions, and posts requisitions
  • Acting as an advocate of the company and building /maintaining networks to strengthen applicant pools
  • Sourcing talent via ATS, job boards, postings, referrals, and events
  • Screening candidates to ensure they meet qualifications, align with culture, and demonstrate genuine interest
  • Consulting with candidates about motivations and guides them through the hiring process
  • Submitting applicants to hiring managers, coordinating interviews, and supporting hiring decisions
  • Negotiating offers, preparing offer letters, and partnering with HR to facilitate smooth hiring and onboarding
  • Coordinating reporting dates, clearances, and employment processing
  • Updating recruiting systems/databases with accurate candidate information
  • Managing and providing day‑to‑day leadership to a team of Recruiting Assistants, ensuring strong performance, development, and workload alignment
  • Acting as a mentor and resource for recruiters, providing guidance on sourcing strategy, candidate engagement, closing skills, and process best practices
  • Maintaining relationships with college/university placement offices
  • Working special projects including proposals, new contract transitions, process improvement, and innovation initiatives
  • Managing a requisition load of approximately 10–20 active requisitions
  • Extending offers in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Ensuring all recruitment efforts comply with laws, policies, and hiring best practices
