Senior Corporate Paralegal (Law Firm Experience)
About The Position
SourcePro Search is conducting a search for an experienced Senior Corporate Paralegal with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, specifically in Blue Sky regulations, within a large law firm environment. The ideal candidate should also be proficient in using legal software, including Relativity, LexisNexis, and Westlaw. As a Senior Corporate Paralegal, you will perform a range of substantive case, matter or entity related duties. You will prepare drafts of legal and other documents and correspondence for attorney review. You will compile, analyze and summarize information. You will coordinate efforts between attorneys, clients, outside legal counsel, opposing legal counsel, other parties and outside vendors.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree and/or a Paralegal certificate.
- Meet the California Paralegal Requirements
- 6 years experience as a paralegal in a large law firm
- Blue Sky experience
- Strong skills in Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Experience with legal software such as Relativity, LexisNexis, Westlaw or similar application
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills required to interact with staff, paralegals, attorneys and clients on a daily basis.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required to handle large volumes of work associates with each matter.
- Must be able to work effectively in a fast paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Performing a range of substantive case, matter, or entity-related duties by supporting efforts between attorneys, clients, outside legal counsel, opposing legal counsel, and other parties.
- Developing, monitoring, and updating closing and other documents.
- Researching, preparing, and filing legal UCC Financing Statements, Articles of Incorporation/Organization, annual reports, managing data rooms, and matter files, coordinating execution and delivery of documentation to other parties’ counsel, lenders, governmental agencies, etc., including all closing documentation.
- Develop, monitor, and update closing and other checklists.
- Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.
- Produce deliverables, answer phone calls, and reply to correspondence in an efficient and responsive manner.
- Provide timely, accurate, and quality work product.
- Successfully meet deadlines, expectations, and perform work duties as required.
- Foster positive work relationships.
- Comply with all firm policies and practices.
- Engage in both physical and sedentary activity, such as (a) working at a computer for extended periods of time, including on-screen reading and typing; (b) participating in digital/virtual conference calls; (c) participating in meetings as needed.
- Perform all other duties, tasks or projects as assigned.
