AMD is seeking a Senior Corporate Counsel – Investigations & Competition with experience conducting internal investigations, advising on competition risks, and leveraging AI to enhance compliance program operations. This role reports to the Deputy Chief Compliance Officer and will play a key role in driving the continued scaling and execution of our global program.

Requirements

  • In-house experience at a fast-paced global company, preferably in the technology sector.
  • Expertise conducting a wide range of complex internal investigations and aligning cross-functionally on employee outcomes and remediation.
  • Deep knowledge of U.S. and international antitrust and competition laws and regulatory frameworks.
  • Ability to provide pragmatic, risk-based legal advice to senior executives and business leaders to drive cross-functional initiatives globally.
  • Experience leveraging AI and workflows to streamline daily tasks in investigations and competition programs.
  • Strong drafting, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Problem solver, team player, good sense of humor, and a positive attitude.
  • Bachelor’s and Juris Doctor from a reputable institution.
  • License to practice law (or in-house equivalent) in relevant jurisdiction.

Responsibilities

  • Lead global compliance investigations, partnering cross-functionally with the Employment, Employee Relations, and Security teams.
  • Structure and execute internal investigations to effectively target key issues while minimizing business disruption. This includes drafting investigation plans, performing eDiscovery, and conducting interviews.
  • Scale an AI and data driven framework for conducting investigations.
  • Brief executives on investigation outcomes and partner cross-functionally to execute resulting remediation.
  • Identify trends in investigation data to inform training, policy updates, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Serve as the competition program lead, advising on emerging competition risks and requirements, and scaling the global competition program.
  • Assess opportunities to enhance competition policies, guidelines, controls, and processes, and conduct related training to key stakeholders.
