About The Position

We are seeking an experienced executive communications leader who will shape and deliver strategic internal communications for a fast-growing global organization. This role will translate complex business and organizational changes into clear, inspiring narratives; build alignment around a shared vision; and create a steady communications cadence that strengthens trust, engagement, and retention. This position reports to Global Internal Communications and supports the Products and Technology function to drive transformation and change management communications aligning employees around strategy, priorities, and ways of working.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of communications-related experience, in a tech field.
  • A degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or Marketing is ideal.
  • Excellent researching and writing abilities.
  • Proven experience developing communications and campaigns during transformation tailoring messages to key audiences across levels and geographies.
  • Experience partnering with transformation leaders, program/project managers, and HR partners to build communications that support change management plans across all audiences and levels of management.
  • Savvy in navigating challenges through creative problem-solving and proactive stakeholder management.
  • Hands on experience working in and managing Microsoft Teams channels, SharePoint, email broadcasting platforms and other internal channels to publish content.
  • Comfortable with visual design best practices.
  • Experience working with executives; strong executive presence with the ability to coach leaders on message discipline, storytelling, and delivery to build trust and alignment.
  • Flexible working across time zones and adapting work hours to accommodate business needs.
  • Ability to work in-office in San Jose, CA.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with the President, Products and Technology to shape the department narrative and communicate strategy, priorities, progress, and changes to the broader Products and Technology organization.
  • Partner closely with the Product and Technology Chief of Staff to coordinate messaging and timing across leadership communications and transformation initiatives.
  • Own the communications cadence for the Products and Technology function, ensuring a consistent drumbeat of messages that drive understanding, alignment, and action.
  • Create and deliver multi-channel communications including the President, Products and Technology emails, newsletters, intranet and Teams posts, Product & Technology all hands, AMAs, video messages, presentations, FAQs, and manager talking points.
  • Take a holistic, change management approach to communications planning to ensure the right message reaches the desired audience, maximizing clarity and confidence.
  • Partner with People & Culture (P&C) to plan and deliver communications for large-scale people programs further integrating all teams into the Veeam way of doing things (e.g., performance cycles, talent processes, benefits updates, policy changes).
  • Employ creative and measurable change communications to help employees, people managers, and leaders understand what’s changing, why it matters, what success looks like, and what actions they need to take.
  • Develop detailed project plans that anticipate stakeholder needs; establish communications governance with an approvals process to keep messages timely and accurate.
  • Write creatively, persuasively, handling sensitive topics with care to inform, inspire, and reduce uncertainty.
  • Represent the employee's point of view by bringing insights from listening channels (e.g., Veeam Voice, pulse feedback, etc.) into messaging and sequencing.
  • Ensure communications are clear, meaningful, and actionable with explicit calls to action.
  • Take guidance from Global Internal Communications to ensure corporate messaging is consistently woven into programs, to leverage key communication moments, and to avoid conflicts or mixed messages.
  • Gain consensus on top-line messaging and narrative.
  • Coordinate content planning, calendaring and delivery with Veeam’s priorities and initiatives.
  • Report, measure, and evaluate communications effectiveness across channels and provide recommendations to improve reach, understanding, and adoption.
  • Stay current on internal communications, transformation storytelling, employee engagement, and change management best practices; apply insights to continuously improve the comms cadence and content.
