About The Position

Adventurous Journeys Capital Partners (“AJCP”) is seeking a Senior Corporate Accountant to support the day-to-day accounting and financial reporting functions across its management and operating entities and support its rapid growth across various investment platforms focused on the hospitality, mixed-use, and single-family rental sectors. ABOUT THE ROLE The Senior Corporate Accountant will execute day-to-day accounting and financial reporting activities for AJCP’s management and brand companies, including general ledger accounting, monthly close processes, and consolidated financial reporting. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate and timely financial reporting, operational discipline, and scalable accounting processes across a growing organization.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, financial statements, and financial reporting
  • Experience executing month-end close and account reconciliation processes
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting fundamentals
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset
  • Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and quality
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with internal stakeholders across functions and levels
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage responsibilities, prioritize effectively, and consistently deliver high-quality work in a deadline-driven environment
  • Collaborative and team-oriented approach with the flexibility to adapt to evolving business needs
  • A process improvement mindset with an interest in helping build scalable accounting operations

Responsibilities

  • Execute monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes across multiple entities, including preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
  • Prepare consolidated financial statements and lender reporting packages in coordination with the broader corporate accounting team
  • Support accounting analyses and transaction recording in accordance with GAAP, including application of revenue recognition guidance under ASC 606
  • Develop a strong understanding of key business and operational agreements, including debt agreements, management agreements, and licensing agreements, and ensure compliance with related accounting and reporting requirements
  • Partner cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure the completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of financial information
  • Support the annual audit process by preparing schedules, coordinating documentation requests, and assisting with auditor inquiries
  • Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes, internal controls, and reporting workflows to support the continued growth and scalability of the organization
  • Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations and variance analyses to maintain the integrity and accuracy of financial reporting
  • Own assigned balance sheet accounts and related reconciliations, ensuring timely resolution of outstanding items and accuracy of supporting documentation
  • Contribute to special projects, ad hoc analyses, and process improvement initiatives as needed
