About The Position

ZipStaff is seeking a hands-on Senior Network Engineer to support a large enterprise office environment for a major investment-management organization in the Philadelphia suburbs. You will design, implement, manage, and troubleshoot multi-vendor network technologies, drive network automation, and partner with cybersecurity and workplace technology teams. This is an operations-heavy senior role — not a design-only architecture seat.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of enterprise network engineering experience.
  • Strong knowledge of routing and switching protocols and architectures.
  • Experience supporting enterprise firewall and network-security technologies.
  • Hands-on network automation using Python, Ansible, or similar tools.
  • Experience in multi-vendor networking environments.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise wireless / Wi-Fi.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure and connectivity issues.
  • Experience supporting corporate office environments and end-user technology services.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work on-site in Wayne, PA four days per week.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on experience with HPE, Aruba, Cisco, Palo Alto, and/or Zscaler.
  • Experience supporting large enterprise office environments.
  • Exposure to cloud networking and hybrid infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted operational tools.
  • Experience on cybersecurity or infrastructure-modernization initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, support, and optimize enterprise network infrastructure in a multi-vendor environment.
  • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot routing and switching.
  • Support technologies from HPE, Aruba, Cisco, Palo Alto, Zscaler, and similar vendors.
  • Manage firewalls, secure web gateways, proxy services, and related network-security technologies.
  • Develop and maintain network automation using Python, Ansible, and related frameworks.
  • Automate provisioning, configuration management, monitoring, and operational workflows.
  • Support enterprise wireless / Wi-Fi — deployment, optimization, and troubleshooting.
  • Troubleshoot complex network performance, connectivity, and security issues.
  • Partner with cybersecurity on hardening and network-related security initiatives.
  • Collaborate with desktop support and workplace technology teams on end-user service issues.
  • Participate in projects covering networking, security, cloud connectivity, and office-technology modernization.
  • Create and maintain network documentation, standards, and operational procedures.
  • Use AI-assisted tools (Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, or similar) to improve operational efficiency where appropriate.
