Senior Core Infrastructure Engineer

Oracle•Santa Clara, CA
•$79,200 - $209,500

About The Position

Designs, implements, and optimizes components in distributed systems, emphasizing scalability, resiliency, and operability. The role delivers features and load and performance tests; uses data plane platforms and distributed state tools for high-volume retrieval, storage, and processing; and reviews peers’ implementations for scalability compliance. It builds fault-tolerant paths through redundancy, replication, and automatic failover; applies recovery-oriented principles; and implements retries, circuit breakers, and timeouts. The engineer proactively detects and mitigates issues through tests, alarms, dashboards, and telemetry; authors runbooks; and participates in incident response and root-cause analysis. The position implements replication and synchronization, develops automation and infrastructure-as-code for troubleshooting and maintenance, applies advanced security controls, and follows change, compliance, and documentation standards. Oracle’s US hiring range for this role is $79,200 to $209,500 per annum. The role may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
