About The Position

As part of the growing creative team at FINN Partners, this Senior Copywriter position will tackle a wide range of assignments for our financial services clients—always through the lens of audience needs, client objectives, and business impact within an integrated content marketing system. The ideal candidate is a versatile writer who understands that strong writing begins with a clear grasp of audience needs and motivations, and enjoys distilling complex ideas into clear, human, and engaging content. Previous experience writing for financial services brands and understanding the unique challenges associated with it is essential. The role requires ownership of projects from start to finish, collaboration with art directors and designers, asking insightful questions, and thriving in a fast-paced, multi-project environment. The candidate should be ambitious, positive, and ego-free, ready to contribute to a team-oriented, creative culture.

Requirements

  • A portfolio demonstrating strategic writing across highly regulated industries, financial services experience preferred
  • An editorial mindset, with experience working in high-volume content marketing systems for large enterprise brands
  • 5+ years of experience in an agency creative department or in-house at a financial services organization
  • A strong grasp of how content marketing and strategic communication supports business goals in complex client organizations
  • Experience with sales/field marketing enablement
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and G Suite (Docs, Slides)

Responsibilities

  • Writing both long and short form copy across a variety of formats including: web, social media, email, printed brochures, blogs, video scripts, white papers, sales collateral, case studies, and more — incorporating both provided audience intelligence and your own research
  • Translating complex topics into clear, compelling content and campaigns
  • Collaborating with art directors to develop multi-channel creative concepts and collateral that drive real business impact for our clients
  • Traversing multiple concurrent projects and deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality
  • Participating in client meetings to understand brand voice, goals, and audience needs
  • Presenting your work clearly and confidently
  • Staying connected and collaborative with the team, but working independently and proactively when needed
