About The Position

The Senior Purchasing Coordinator reports to the Manager, Purchasing. Located in Landover, MD. Full-Time Hybrid. As a Senior Purchasing Coordinator, you will assume a leadership role in procurement operations, leveraging your expertise to manage goods and services with heightened financial commitments and technical intricacies. Working under general direction, you will play a vital role in optimizing inventory, enhancing supplier relations, and executing strategic procurement decisions.

Requirements

2 – 3 years of experience in a senior-level purchasing or procurement role, or equivalent military or practical experience.
Proficiency in advanced software tools, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), Adobe/Nitro Pro, Explorer, and Infor Distribution SX.
Ability to tackle complex problems and devise innovative solutions.
Advanced mathematical skills, including calculations related to discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Ability to successfully pass a background check post offer acceptance.

Responsibilities

Lead strategic procurement initiatives, managing goods and services with increased financial commitments and technical complexities.
Oversee inventory management to maintain high fill rate accuracy in distribution centers.
Take a lead role in managing supplier relations, resolving complex issues, and fostering collaborative partnerships.
Independently make timely decisions, employing advanced analysis to determine the most appropriate course of action.
Provide expert support to the sales team, addressing complex product inquiries, negotiating terms, and facilitating seamless order fulfillment.
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, contributing to the enhancement of procurement processes.
