This role requires expertise in assembling components, mentoring less experienced team members, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time delivery and adherence to quality standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly skilled, and a proactive problem-solver with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent qualification from an accredited school.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in assembly or manufacturing operations.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings, blueprints, and production documentation.
  • Advanced mechanical aptitude and proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • US Citizenship required.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate Degree or technical certification in a related field.
  • Experience with ERP or inventory management systems.
  • Prior experience in a leadership or mentoring role within a manufacturing or assembly environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble complex components and equipment according to engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions, ensuring all quality and safety standards are met.
  • Lead and support team members in the assembly process, providing training, guidance, and assistance as needed.
  • Perform inspections of assembled products to ensure compliance with specifications, addressing and resolving quality issues when identified.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve assembly challenges, collaborating with engineering and quality teams as necessary.
  • Monitor and communicate material shortages, discrepancies, or issues to the appropriate departments to minimize production delays.
  • Document assembly processes, maintain logs, and update work orders to ensure accurate records.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area in compliance with company safety and 5S practices.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, providing feedback and suggestions for process and product enhancements.
  • Support inventory management activities, such as tracking inventory, performing cycle counts, and assisting with reconciliations.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as required.
