About The Position

MANE is seeking a Senior Controller for its Development Center in Lebanon, Ohio. This role is crucial for supporting financial performance and decision-making within flavor manufacturing operations. The Senior Controller will provide advanced cost analysis, margin optimization, and business partnering to ensure cost control and transparency. This position collaborates with Operations, R&D, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams to drive growth and profitability, without direct people management responsibilities.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting required.
10+ years of progressive experience in controlling, cost accounting, or financial analysis in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of SAP S4/Hana (FI/CO, MM, PP modules), Excel, and BI tools (e.g., Power BI).
Excellent analytical, communication, and business partnering skills.

CMA a plus.
Industry experience in flavor, fragrance, food ingredients, or specialty chemicals is highly preferred.
Experience working in an international environment is a plus.
Ability to translate data into actionable insights for business partners.

Responsibilities

Calculate and monitor standard and actual costs for flavor products, ensuring accuracy in SAP and related systems.
Analyze variances (materials, labor, overhead) and provide feedback to Operations, Pricing and R&D.
Ensure accurate BOMs and routings in collaboration with R&D and Production, supporting new product introductions and recipe changes.
Perform in-depth margin analysis by product, customer, and business segment, leveraging global reporting tools.
Support Commercial teams with pricing, scenario modeling, and customer profitability analysis.
Identify opportunities for margin improvement through cost optimization, waste reduction, and process improvements.
Support annual budgeting and periodic forecasting, for total company and business segments.
Prepare monthly management reports, including KPIs, manufacturing variances, and inventory analysis, for local and regional leadership.
Ensure compliance with MANE’s internal controls, financial policies, and group reporting standards.
Serve as a Controlling partner for Operations, R&D, and Supply Chain, providing financial insights for process improvement and cost-saving initiatives.
Provide ad hoc financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic decisions at local and regional levels.
Actively engaged in the S4/Hana upgrade of SAP.
Leverage SAP (CO/FI/MM/PP modules) and SAP Analytical Cloud (SAC) reporting for data accuracy, reporting integrity, and process integration.
Develop and maintain dashboards and reports in Power BI to provide real-time visibility into performance metrics.
Drive continuous improvement in financial processes using digital tools and automation.
Identify and implement best practices in controlling, cost management, and reporting.
Support internal and external audits, ensuring timely and accurate provision of financial data and documentation.
Other duties in support of company objectives.
