AECOM is seeking a Senior Control System Designer to join its Buildings and Places group. The role designs automation and SCADA systems for mechanical and electrical systems on complex data center and mission-critical infrastructure projects for global clients. It is primarily remote and may be based in the United States where AECOM has an office. Occasional, advance-scheduled travel may be required for client meetings, project milestones, onsite collaboration, or other business-critical activities. The position is hands-on and client-facing, with potential for upward career mobility. The designer works closely with mechanical, electrical, and ICT teams to develop coordinated control designs, network architectures, and system interfaces. The role includes developing basis-of-design documents and specifications for building automation, PLC, power monitoring, instrumentation, and cybersecurity systems; applying relevant protocols, codes, and engineering standards; and coordinating design changes, schedules, budgets, and project deadlines. The position requires flexibility to attend project meetings and calls and work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. AECOM intends to fill this current vacancy by November 13, 2026. Relocation is not available. Sponsorship is available. Newly hired employees must attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office.
