About The Position

The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Senior Contracts Manager to join the United States Air Force (USAF) Mobility Surveillance & Bombers (MS&B) Contracts team in Oklahoma City, OK. This position will lead team members supporting the Bombers Program contracting efforts and be the focal leader to the Bombers Program leadership team and the USAF MS&B Contracts Director within the Government and Enterprise Contracts organization. This manager, in partnership with program leadership, will represent the company with various customers in the negotiation of new business and execution of contracted work scope. This position includes implementing initiatives to improve efficiency while maintaining compliance with enterprise tools, processes and procedures. In the future, the scope of the role may include other program work beyond MS&B. This position requires close coordination with various internal functions from a leadership perspective (including, but not limited to Program Management, Estimating and Pricing, Supplier Management, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, Financial Controls, Business Development, etc). The team desires an individual with a people-focused and customer-focused mindset with good contracts and finance acumen to support the Bombers programs. A successful candidate will be required to bring a positive attitude, support the team through difficult situations, effectively collaborate toward innovative solutions and be able to develop positive working relationships internally and externally. This individual must be able to travel domestically in the United States as needed.

Requirements

  • Willing to travel domestically as needed
  • 3+ years of experience with U.S. Department of Defense Contracts
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
  • To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

  • Manages employees engaged in Contract Management Specialist activities
  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals
  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees
