Senior Contracts Manager
About The Position
Leidos currently has an opening for a Senior Contracts Manager to support the Security Enterprise Solutions Business Area where we deliver and maintain state-of-the-art airport, ports & borders and critical infrastructure security screening products to government and commercial customers domestically and globally. This is a great opportunity to support a growth business in an exciting industry. The Contracts team functions as an integrating role that thrives at the crossroads of all areas of the business. In this role we are a critical engagement point between Leidos and customer stakeholders. A successful Senior Contracts Manager is self-motivated and enjoys learning about the entire business relationship, and how all the pieces fit together, to accomplish the program’s and Business Area’s objectives. The selected candidate must be bilingual (English and Spanish) and will manage Contracts support for a diverse portfolio of contracts primarily within the LATAM region. This is an individual contributor role and will report to the Contracts Director. Candidate must be self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team of contract professionals. This position shall be located in Vista, CA and will need to support multiple time zones, as needed with travel for customer meetings.
Requirements
- BA degree and 12+ years of prior relevant experience; or Masters degree with 10+ years of prior relevant experience.
- Bilingual English/Spanish required (verbal and written): must be able to read, write, listen and speak fluently in Spanish to support Spanish-speaking customers
- Candidate must have in-depth knowledge of all contract types (e.g., FFP, T&M, and Cost Plus)
- Proven experience with international and commercial contracts and customers
- Proven ability to solicit and process complex information and data to solve complex problems and make sound decisions
- Strong interpersonal skills with measured and articulate communication skills; ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers; proven history of building a team environment and fostering communication with the business and Contracts leadership team.
- Excellent contract review and negotiation skills, including experience negotiating complex terms and conditions
- Ability to succinctly summarize and communicate complex information
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities is critical
- Candidate must be able to effectively communicate at all levels within the organization.
- Experience as Contracts lead on proposals is required
- Well organized with keen attention to detail
- Candidate must be proficient with Adobe and Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Responsibilities
- Provide the oversight and evaluation of RFPs and the resulting international and domestic proposals
- Manage contracts portfolio, lead contract negotiations, and identify risks and propose mitigation strategies
- Proactively engage with customer counterparts to be responsive to customer requirements; develop and maintain excellent customer relationships.
- Must be a consummate team player, routinely interacting with PMs, procurement, finance, project control, business development, legal and export control team members
- Implement new solutions to achieve functional objectives
- Lead contract negotiations
- Solution multi-faceted and complex contractual/customer issues as they arise
- Responsible for overall contract compliance with assigned tasks in accordance with contract requirements, company policy and procedures, and applicable laws
- Identify risks and propose mitigation strategies
- Ensure accurate and compliant contract execution through company’s systems
- Drive efficient contract processing to support timely project and revenue execution
- Support business operations by managing contract data integrity and system workflows
- Deliver timely and accurate data insights to internal and external stakeholders
Benefits
- Pay Range $116,350.00 - $210,325.00
