The Senior Contractor Support to Analyze Emerging and Disruptive Technologies (EDTs) contributes to the identification, cataloguing, and sustained assessment of EDT implications and adoption opportunities in support of the Warfare Development Agenda, promoting increased experimentation of EDT-based solutions in realistic environments. The incumbent provides and coordinates input to the programming of EDT activities within the ACT S&T Program of Work, supporting ACT's foresight, NDPP, multinational solutions, capability development, and training and education efforts, while working to influence and exploit EDTs that address identified capability shortfalls. This role delivers EDT advice that informs strategic foresight analysis (SFA, FFAO), NATO defense planning processes including NDPP Step 2, and subsequent capability and force development efforts such as requirements formulation, concept development, experimentation, and Analysis of Alternatives (AoA), identifying capability shortfalls that could benefit from EDT adoption through analysis of NDPP products and operational lessons learned in coordination with ACT staff. The incumbent educates HQ SACT staff on EDT-related opportunities and risks, organizes and maintains a knowledge base on EDT adoption status to enable information exchange among ACT, NATO, and national stakeholders, and serves as a member of the Innovation Branch under Multi-Domain Force Development, executing tasks as directed by the Section Head for Science and Technology in support of the Branch's broader Science and Technology mission.
