The Emerging and Disruptive Technologies (EDT) Senior Analyst serves as a member of the Innovation Branch within Multi-Domain Force Development, supporting HQ SACT's efforts to identify, catalogue, and assess emerging and disruptive technologies for their implications and adoption potential in advancing the Warfare Development Agenda. This role contributes to programming EDT activities within ACT's Science & Technology Program of Work, informing foresight, NATO Defense Planning Process, multinational solutions, and capability development efforts, while promoting increased experimentation of EDT-based solutions in realistic operational environments. The analyst provides and coordinates input to strategic foresight analyses, defense planning products, and subsequent capability and force development activities, including requirements formulation, concept development and experimentation, and Analysis of Alternatives, by analyzing NDPP products and operational lessons learned to identify capability shortfalls that could benefit from EDT adoption. Additionally, this individual educates HQ SACT staff on the opportunities and risks associated with EDTs, maintains a knowledge base on the current status of EDT adoption to facilitate information exchange among ACT, NATO, and national stakeholders, and executes related tasks as directed by the Section Head for Science and Technology in support of the Innovation Branch's broader core mission.
