About The Position

The Senior Security Consulting Engineer works with ANM customers to identify business and technical security requirements and design and implement security solutions. The role combines technical expertise with customer service skills to manage Professional Services engagements from discovery through project closure, collaborating with ANM Technical Leads, the Project Management Office, and technology partners to deliver effective solutions. The engineer designs, configures, and implements security technologies across multiple domains, including Palo Alto security products and Cisco firewall and identity solutions. The role also involves diagnosing complex network and information security problems, creating customer documentation, researching evolving threats, continuing professional education, and using lab environments to reproduce and resolve issues. Occasional travel is required; a valid driver’s license and motor vehicle insurance are required.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and/or 8+ years of experience in a related field.
At least 5 years of experience in security architecture, operations, design, or development across multiple information security domains.
Strong Cisco background and ability to design, support, configure, and implement Cisco security products.
Strong experience with Palo Alto PAN security products.
CCNP-Security, Security+, CEH, and/or other relevant security certifications.
Hands-on experience with firewalls, IDS, IPS, VPN, remote access, security logging, rapid threat containment solutions, and network security orchestration tools.
Understanding of and ability to implement controls for compliance requirements such as SSAE16 / SOC II, PCI, and HIPAA.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to communicate technical issues to technical and nontechnical audiences.
Strong desire to learn and grow in a dynamic, fast-paced, collaborative work environment.
At least 7 years of information security-related work experience, including consulting experience in cybersecurity.
Valid driver’s license and motor vehicle insurance.

CCIE Security and/or CISSP.
Advanced experience with Cisco and Palo Alto firewalls.

Responsibilities

Design and implement security solutions across multiple security domains and technologies.
Work with customers to identify business requirements and apply security solutions to reduce risk.
Create and implement security configurations in accordance with documented project plans.
Create customer documentation, including as-built documentation, diagrams, and support information.
Design, configure, and implement Palo Alto security products, including firewalls and Prisma SASE; Prisma Cloud experience is desired.
Design, configure, and implement Cisco Firewall FTD.
Design, configure, and implement advanced Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) environments.
Analyze and diagnose complex network and information security system problems.
Apply analytical skills and technical knowledge to solve moderately to highly complex problems.
Use knowledge of technology, products, and services to build enterprise security solutions.
Research security, stay current on evolving threats, and continue learning to provide expert-level advice across security domains and technologies.
Use lab setups to learn, recreate, and solve problems.
Occasionally travel for the position.
