About The Position

The Senior Security Consulting Engineer works with ANM customers to identify business and technical security requirements, then designs and implements security solutions. The role combines technical expertise and customer service to manage Professional Services engagements from discovery through project closure, collaborating with ANM Technical Leads and the Project Management Office to deliver effective solutions. The engineer designs, configures, and implements security solutions across multiple domains, including Cisco and Palo Alto technologies. The work includes diagnosing complex network and information security problems, documenting implementations, advising on security solutions, and keeping current with evolving threats and technologies. Occasional travel is required; a valid driver’s license and motor vehicle insurance are required.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and/or 8 or more years of experience in a related field.
At least 5 years of experience in security architecture, operations, design, or development across multiple information security domains.
Strong desire to learn and grow in a dynamic, fast-paced, collaborative work environment.
Strong Cisco background and ability to design, support, configure, and implement Cisco security products.
Strong experience with Palo Alto PAN security products.
CCNP-Security, Security+, CEH, and/or other relevant security certifications.
Hands-on experience with firewalls, IDS, IPS, VPN, remote access, security logging, rapid threat containment solutions, and network security orchestration tools.
Ability to understand and implement controls for common compliance requirements, including SSAE16/SOC II, PCI, and HIPAA.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical issues to technical and nontechnical audiences.
Valid driver’s license and motor vehicle insurance.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Palo Alto Prisma Cloud.
Experience with Cisco Umbrella, Okta, and Duo.
Fortinet firewall experience.
CCIE Security and/or CISSP certification.
At least 7 years of information security-related work experience, including consulting experience in cybersecurity.
Strong communication and presentation skills, professional appearance and demeanor, and ability to interact with client personnel in technical and leadership roles.

Responsibilities

Design and implement security solutions across multiple security domains and technologies.
Work with customers to understand business requirements and apply security solutions to reduce security risk.
Create and implement security configurations according to documented project plans.
Prepare customer documentation, including as-built documentation, diagrams, and support information.
Design, configure, and implement Palo Alto security technologies, including Firewall and Prisma SASE; Prisma Cloud experience is desired.
Design, configure, and implement Cisco Firewall FTD.
Design, configure, and implement advanced Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) environments.
Perform analysis and diagnose complex network and information security system problems.
Apply analytical skills and technical knowledge to solve problems of moderate to difficult complexity.
Use knowledge of technology, products, and services to build enterprise security solutions.
Research security, stay current on evolving threats, and continue learning to provide expert-level security advice across multiple domains and technologies.
Use lab setups to learn, recreate, and solve problems.
Travel occasionally as required.
