About The Position

Protiviti is looking for a Technology Audit & Advisory Senior Consultant to join our growing Financial Services team. Protiviti’s Financial Services practice is widely recognized as a leading provider of consulting services across the three lines of defense for financial institutions. As a Senior Consultant, you will be a mentor, trainer, and coach to Interns and Consultants as you facilitate the successful completion of project work plans. You’ll identify areas of risk and opportunities to increase efficiency. You’ll strengthen relationships and deepen your abilities to communicate, gain trust, and network with client personnel and professional associates. At the direction of Managers, you may accept responsibility for decision-making in areas including establishing project scope and work plans, project staffing, preparation of deliverables, and application of methodologies. By focusing on clients and engagements in the financial services industry, you’ll partner with highly regulated clients and deepen your understanding of financial services regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or business-related field).
• 2+ years working in internal audit, consulting, assurance services, risk and control programs, or related field, either in professional services or within the financial services industry.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite applications with specific emphasis on Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Secondary emphasis on Visio and Access.
• Experience with or understanding of IT audit methodologies and developing necessary audit deliverables, including process flows, work programs, audit reports, and control summaries.
• Experience with or understanding of commonly used internal control frameworks, including COBIT, ISO 27001, NIST CSF, CIS, ITIL, etc.
• Experience with or understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley Act provisions and methodologies for achieving compliance, in particular the technology implications and requirements.
• Experience with or understanding of financial services industry regulations.
• Supervisory experience of teams including mentoring, oversight and review of work, coordination across teams, and understanding how to motivate.
• Ability to translate and communicate technology topics and audit issues to client personnel, including executives.

Nice To Haves

• Proficiency in PowerBI, Tableau, Alteryx, SQL, Python, and/or RPA Solutions.
• Exposure to and/or interest in the latest trends and developments in data and technology, including high-growth topics of cybersecurity, cloud, data governance, privacy, analytics, enterprise applications (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday, Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics etc.), disaster recovery, systems development methodologies etc.
• Exposure to and/or interest in analytics and technology enablement (automation, AI/ML etc.).
• Exposure to and/or interest in evaluating, summarizing, organizing, and interpreting data.
• Exposure to and/or interest in establishing and cultivating business relationships and a professional network.
• Professional certification such as CIA, CRMA, CISA, CISM, CISSP, or similar preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, identify risk, advise, and consult on different technology-related topics.
• Leverage AI to enhance personal productivity as well as internal audit and SOX activities, including planning, fieldwork and reporting.
• Perform documentation of findings and summarize recommendations.
