  • Expert-level Primavera P6 capability, stated as non-negotiable.
  • Ability to build and administer enterprise structures, including EPS, OBS, global and project activity codes, calendars, user-defined fields, and layouts.
  • Ability to manage baselines and scheduling options, including retained logic, progress override, longest path, and multiple float path analysis.
  • Ability to apply resource and cost loading, activity percent complete types and steps, and Global Change.
  • Experience importing, reviewing, and integrating contractor XER files, and using schedule comparison and Claim Digger to trace changes between updates.
  • Ability to build report layouts and data extracts that feed dashboards and monthly reporting.
  • Deep command of CPM logic, critical path and float management, baseline and variance analysis, and progress measurement.
  • Working knowledge of recognized standards, such as AACE International recommended practices, the DCMA 14-point assessment, and the GAO Schedule Assessment Guide.

Responsibilities

  • Build integrated master schedules in Primavera P6 using scope, permitting, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and turnover inputs.
  • Own schedule logic, calendars, constraints, durations, coding, WBS, and the written basis of schedule.
  • Set and control baselines; process changes through formal change control and preserve versions, data dates, and an audit trail.
  • Integrate long-lead equipment, interconnection, permitting, outage, and commercial milestones into a logic-driven network.
  • Structure schedules at appropriate levels of detail for executive and contractor audiences.
  • Run weekly status and monthly schedule updates, validating actual dates, remaining durations, physical progress, and logic changes with accountable owners.
  • Identify critical, near-critical, and longest paths, float erosion, emerging slippage, and recovery options; provide decision-ready analysis to leaders.
  • Perform what-if scenarios and time impact analyses; support delay analysis and claims evaluations when required.
  • Run schedule quality checks, such as the DCMA 14-point assessment, on each update and resolve or explain exceptions.
  • Support schedule risk analysis by facilitating risk input, building three-point durations, and interpreting P50 and P80 outcomes.
  • Produce schedule narratives, milestone reports, and schedule views for monthly performance reporting and dashboards.
  • Act as the owner’s scheduler and hold EPC contractors, engineers, and vendors to a credible, compliant plan.
  • Write contractor scheduling specifications; review schedule submittals for logic and quality; and recommend acceptance, revision, or rejection.
  • Integrate contractor and vendor schedules into the owner’s integrated master schedule through interface milestones with named owners on both sides.
  • Protect the owner’s position on baseline approval, float use, and time extension requests.
  • Advise client project directors, project controls managers, and executives, presenting schedule status, risks, and recommendations clearly.
  • Facilitate schedule reviews, planning workshops, and look-ahead sessions with engineering, procurement, construction, and commercial teams.
  • Set up scheduling standards, templates, coding structures, and P6 environments that clients can own and reuse.
