About The Position

The Human Resources team at the University of Guelph is seeking a Senior Consultant, Learning & Organizational Development (L&OD) who is passionate about building capability, strengthening leadership, and enabling meaningful organizational change across its diverse campus community. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration or related field required
  • 5-7 years of progressive experience in organizational development, learning and development, or human resources, including experience partnering with leaders to address organizational challenges, facilitate change, and support workforce development initiatives
  • Expertise in adult learning, facilitation, coaching, and organizational development practices
  • Experience delivering group facilitation, consulting, and organizational change initiatives
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects and balance multiple priorities
  • Strategic, creative thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Commitment to equity, inclusion, and creating supportive workplaces
  • Confidence working independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Adult Education, Organizational Development, or a related field considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Driving organizational effectiveness and change initiatives
  • Enhancing leadership and professional development
  • Strengthening employee engagement, well-being, and inclusion
  • Collaborate with faculties, departments, and campus partners to identify learning and development needs and opportunities
  • Design, facilitate, and evaluate high-impact learning programs for staff and faculty
  • Provide consulting and coaching to support team development, innovation, and positive change
  • Contribute to university-wide programs such as performance success, onboarding, and employee recognition
  • Lead specialized projects that bring forward emerging trends and leading practices in L&OD
  • Use data and evaluation methods to measure program effectiveness and continuously improve outcomes
  • Act as a trusted advisor and role model in continuous learning, equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI), and employee well-being
  • Build strong partnerships across HR and the broader university community
