About The Position

This role involves leading the day-to-day delivery of complex client engagements in the federal health advisory sector. The consultant will apply structured problem-solving and analytical methods to address client challenges, oversee quantitative and qualitative analyses, and translate insights into actionable recommendations. Key aspects include managing project plans, timelines, and risks, coordinating multi-disciplinary teams, and serving as a primary client contact. The position also involves coaching and mentoring junior team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Progressive experience in management consulting, healthcare, public sector, or related advisory environments.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of prior professional experience (advanced degree can be considered in lieu of years of work experience).
  • Experience working with healthcare payers, with emphasis on Medical Management (e.g. Utilization Management) strategy and implementation.
  • Demonstrated experience leading workstreams or projects, including managing scope, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience synthesizing complex information for senior audiences.
  • Experience collaborating with and developing junior staff.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to obtain a Public trust Clearance (US citizenship required).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting federal health clients or large, complex healthcare organizations.
  • Familiarity with strategic planning, operating model design, workforce planning, or transformation initiatives.
  • Familiarity or experience with medical evidence research and policy development.
  • Experience managing client relationships in a consulting environment.
  • Prior people-manager experience or demonstrated readiness to take on formal people-management responsibilities.
