About The Position

BCG Platinion's Enterprise Solutions Senior Consultants are integral to our mission of guiding clients into the future by overcoming tech limitations and enabling them to advance their digital journeys. This role involves delivering business value through the innovative and rapid use of technology, transforming strategies into leading-edge tech platforms at scale. Consultants will work across Architecture, Cybersecurity, Digital Transformation, Enterprise Application, and Risk functions, balancing vision with a pragmatic path to change.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in mathematics, engineering, information technology, business management, or relevant field.
  • 4+ years of practical experience in IT/ERP consulting, professional software development, or IT project management with a focus on one or more of the following: SAP, Salesforce, Oracle (Financials, NetSuite, Fusion, JD Edwards, PeopleSoft, etc.), Workday.
  • Experience in business process design and configuration.
  • Previous experience with independently managing modules/workstreams in two or more end-to-end ERP implementations in a waterfall or agile setting.
  • Proven responsibility as a team lead within a single module (e.g., OTC, Finance, Procurement) during at least one project phase (Design, Build, Test, Deploy).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Outstanding analytical and conceptual skills.
  • Experience with the management of decision processes at large organizations.
  • Strong customer and results orientation.
  • Confidence and persuasiveness.
  • Experience managing large, complex projects.
  • Gen AI tool fluency (e.g., proven usage of GenAI such as ChatGPT, Claude) and validation of response.

Nice To Haves

  • Willingness to travel around the globe to work with clients and BCG teams. At times, this role involves significant travel to client sites. The amount of travel will depend on client needs and nature of projects.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate as interdisciplinary team players, establishing relationships with cross-functional stakeholder groups and development teams.
  • Apply expertise in performance analysis to tackle difficult business challenges.
  • Leverage extensive IT and digital expertise to drive novel solutions rooted in complexity.
  • Work comfortably and confidently through ambiguity and the unknown.
  • Act as change agents, aligning and onboarding teams to implement new processes, toolsets, and IT operating models.
  • Build trust and influence stakeholders through strong relationship building.
  • Manage large-scale ERP (or similar) projects.
  • Develop nuanced transformation roadmaps, cost estimation, and resource plans across internal and external parties.
  • Define global and local deployment, program governance, and quality assurance strategies.
  • Link financial performance and business strategy to digital solutions.
  • Articulate and quantify value cases for large tech investments, such as ERP programs.
  • Optimize value realization in ERP and similar solutions.
  • Evaluate an organization’s IT, enterprise applications, data, analytics, integration, and AI solutions, particularly as it relates to packaged software platforms (ERP, CRM, HCM, EAM, MDG, SRM, TMS, WMS, etc.).
  • Translate business needs into target state system requirements.
  • Recommend packaged software vendors, modules, and configurations tailored to a client’s particular industry and context.
  • Restructure ERP, HCM, EAM, CRM, etc. processes (functional and/or technical).
  • Develop infrastructure approaches, including service-oriented architectures (SOA), and high-level design of ERP and related solutions, whether deployed on cloud, on-prem, or hybrid.
  • Restructure business/tech processes and organization/operating models within an ERP (or related) construct.
  • Support tech functions during mergers and acquisitions, including the functional and technical transformation of an organization’s IT department.
  • Develop team’s talent by providing direction and facilitating technical discussions.
