About The Position

West Monroe is seeking a Senior Consultant to join their CFO Advisory team within the Operations Excellence practice. This role involves supporting clients in modernizing their finance organizations, including developing application strategies and transformation roadmaps. The consultant will also contribute to enhancing methodologies and tools and integrating them with other consulting solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline (e.g., Finance/Accounting, Supply Chain, Economics, Engineering, Management/Business, Information Technology, MIS, etc.) or equivalent experience required.
  • 3+ years of “hands-on” experience configuring business applications.
  • At least 1-2 years of experience advising clients on the selection and implementation of ERP Solutions (SAP ERP, Oracle ERP Cloud, and Microsoft Dynamics 365 strongly preferred).
  • Must have been an active team member or PM on at least 2 full-cycle ERP implementations.
  • Previous experience managing multiple workstreams as a member or leader on digital finance transformation projects.
  • Strong functional knowledge within Lead to Close, Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Plan to Produce, Record to Report, Recruit to Retire.
  • Previous experience consulting from either a large/strategic consultancy or internal business applications/ERP/IT group.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills including the ability to create impactful and concise executive stakeholder-ready deliverables, and polished client-facing oral communication skills.
  • Strong data visualization and analysis skills; comfortable using tools like Excel to analyze data and present key insights in a compelling way.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Demonstrated success within one or more of West Monroe’s core industries including Consumer & Industrial Products, Healthcare (payer/provider), Life Sciences, High Tech & Software, Utilities, Insurance, Banking, and/or Private Equity.
  • Ability to work permanently in the United States without sponsorship.

  • Ability to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

  • Serve on client delivery teams as a program manager on engagements of moderate-to-high complexity and scale.
  • Structure and manage own work and the work of others within multiple workstreams according to project workplan and Statement of Work (SOW).
  • Support functional workstream planning and execution by collaborating with team members and client functional leads.
  • Engagements include fit-gap assessments, application strategy, software and integrator selection, implementation health check and recovery, implementation project and change management, and IT back-office application due diligence.
  • Coordinate with client and West Monroe teams on project governance activities.
  • Provide quality assurance review on junior team members’ approaches and deliverables.
  • Contribute to the creation of methodologies, project assets and tools, and ensure maintenance of those assets.
  • Seek out farming opportunities and engage project managers and practice leadership to evaluate and pursue in support of business development goals.
  • Engage in account management process including supporting account planning, developing and maintaining relationships with client peers, invoicing, resource allocations, and project financial management.
  • Actively participate in proposal development by synthesizing client asks and issues while mapping West Monroe methodologies and reviewing client materials to determine appropriate scope as well as potential areas out-of-scope.
  • Assist team members in integrating effectively onto the team, providing instruction, assistance, and coaching on methodologies and work approached.
  • Model and mentor more junior-level consultants day-to-day in personifying West Monroe values with clients, on project teams, and within individual relationships.
  • May serve as a Career Advisor to an intern or more junior-level consultant.
  • Support recruiting, interviewing, and selecting campus and experienced new hire consultants.
