About The Position

As a Senior Consultant at BlastX Consulting, you will serve as a trusted CDP strategist and hands-on practitioner, helping clients unlock the full value of their customer data platforms. You will lead the strategy, configuration, and activation of CDP solutions. You will bring deep expertise in Adobe Real-Time CDP and working experience across other CDPs, such as Tealium, Hightouch, and others. You will drive project success by ensuring the quality of deliverables, driving measurable outcomes, and contributing thought leadership to the firm and the industry. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in CDP strategy, configuration, activation, and strategic client management within a consulting or agency environment.
  • Deep hands-on experience with Adobe Real-Time CDP, including profile unification, segment builder, destinations, edge segmentation, and activation workflows.
  • Working experience with additional CDP platforms such as Tealium, Hightouch, or similar tools, with the ability to apply CDP concepts across vendors and lead CDP evaluations.
  • Strong understanding of audience strategy, including segmentation design, identity resolution, consent-based activation, and real-time vs. batch use cases.
  • Experience integrating CDPs with downstream activation platforms such as marketing automation, advertising platforms, personalization engines, and CRM systems.
  • Familiarity with data governance frameworks, privacy regulations, and consent management as they relate to CDP operations.
  • Proven ability to create and oversee comprehensive project documentation, including solution design references, scopes of work, detailed estimates, and resource plans for complex, multi-phase CDP projects.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with experience guiding junior team members to achieve project goals.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills for translating business objectives into CDP use cases, audience strategies, and activation plans.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for presenting insights and collaborating with clients.
  • Awareness of emerging CDP trends including composable architectures, reverse ETL (e.g., Hightouch, Census), AI-driven audience optimization, and evolving privacy landscapes, with the ability to recommend practical applications.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with analytics tools (e.g., Adobe Analytics, Adobe CJA, GA4, Amplitude, etc) and tag management systems (e.g., Adobe Tags, Tealium iQ, Google Tag Manager) is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of CDP-focused client engagements, delivering strategic and technical solutions that drive real business outcomes through customer data activation.
  • Lead CDP strategy engagements, including platform selection assessments, architecture reviews, use case prioritization, and activation roadmaps aligned with client business goals.
  • Configure, optimize, and govern CDP platforms, including schema design, audience segmentation, identity resolution, merge policies, and destination activation.
  • Design and execute audience activation strategies across marketing, advertising, and personalization destinations, ensuring data flows correctly from CDP to downstream platforms.
  • Advise clients on data governance, privacy compliance (consent management, data retention policies), and identity strategies.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop CDP maturity roadmaps, including phased approaches for real-time personalization, cross-channel orchestration, look-a-like modeling, and AI-driven audience discovery.
  • Author detailed scopes of work, solution design documents, and technical specifications for CDP implementation and optimization projects.
  • Ensure alignment with the scope of work outlined in client contracts by proactively managing deliverables, identifying potential blockers, communicating them to stakeholders, and leading efforts to resolve issues while maintaining client expectations.
  • Review and validate deliverables, ensuring accuracy, functionality, and alignment with client expectations.
  • Mentor team members by reviewing their work, providing constructive feedback, and offering guidance on best practices in CDP configuration, audience strategy, and data activation.
  • Deliver training sessions and enablement workshops for client teams on topics such as audience segmentation, real-time personalization, and CDP platform operations.
  • Implement CDP practice optimizations, such as standardized audience naming conventions, QA processes, and reusable activation templates, to enhance efficiency across client engagements.
  • Contribute thought leadership through blog posts, webinars, or case studies on CDP-related topics, such as first-party data strategies, privacy-centric personalization, and AI-driven audience optimization.
  • Stay current on CDP market trends, emerging platforms (e.g., composable CDPs, reverse ETL tools), and evolving privacy regulations, and recommend their practical application within client solutions.
