The Sr. Construction Superintendent is responsible to manage more complex medium voltage sites production of on site activities, provide daily progress reports, and quality reports, update the Construction Coordinator to any deviation from drawings and work to resolve any site issues, responsible for all Safety and Quality aspects of the site construction. The ideal candidate for the role will be an innovative, collaborative, and progressive leader with exceptional business acumen and the ability to translate business challenges into actionable solutions in a highly complex, rapidly evolving environment. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Related Experience in Construction Management
  • 10 + years experience in a relevant role
  • 10+ years technical field experience; specifically with medium voltage construction projects & technology
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, presentation, and project management skills related to prioritizing and executing timely deliverables within timeline, scope, and budget
  • The ability to understand business needs to drive buy-in among company leaders to enable transformation and advance strategic priorities while building rapport and fostering a collaborative working environment
  • 90% Field travel required
  • Effective communicator (written and verbal) with proficiency in relevant software tools
  • Demonstrate Document Control skills
  • Demonstrate time management skills
  • Proficient in prioritizing and understanding project sequences to ensure proper project execution

Responsibilities

  • Manage more complex medium voltage sites production of on site activities
  • Provide daily progress reports and quality reports
  • Update the Construction Coordinator to any deviation from drawings and work to resolve any site issues
  • Responsible for all Safety and Quality aspects of the site construction
  • Collaborate with operations, project, engineers, subcontractors, and etc. to provide a safe and quality deliverable within project timelines
  • Review and understand provided drawings and ensure site is built to drawing / code / project requirements
  • Complete daily construction reports, Safety JSA's, quality reports with well-documented information
  • Advise supervisor / engineering team of any deviations from drawings or issues on site to ensure plan forward prior to action being taken
  • Manage multiple projects and follow through on assigned tasks
  • Resolve on-site issues, maintain a clean job site, and support operations teams
  • Review and provide schedule updates as needed
  • Participate in educational programs to update job knowledge and expand personal network
  • Lead meetings with outside vendors, contractors, utilities, and clients
  • Find solutions and overcome problems that may impact the project
