About The Position

At Accenture Construct, the Senior Construction Oversight Manager will support delivery of large capital construction programs, including transit and public infrastructure projects. The role provides recommendations during planning and design on constructability, phasing, logistics, and operations interfaces to help minimize costs and service disruptions. It supports contractor documentation, risk mitigation, construction management standards, procurement, cost estimating, contract oversight, coordination, and quality assurance. The manager also participates in project meetings and supports the management of the Adjacent Construction program, while leading or assisting in program enhancements to improve quality, efficiency, and consistency. The work location is flexible and may include remote work, onsite work at a client location, or work in an Accenture office or center. Some in-person time is expected for collaboration, learning, and relationship building. Accenture Construct is Accenture’s global capital projects business, with more than 5,000 practitioners across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC.

Requirements

At least 15 years of project management and/or construction management experience.
Experience on large, transit-related public agency construction programs.
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or another construction-related engineering discipline.

Responsibilities

Provide recommendations during project planning and design regarding constructability, phasing, logistics, and operations interfaces to minimize costs and service disruptions.
Assist with development of front-end contractor documents as required.
Support identification and mitigation of project risks.
Support the establishment of construction management standards for safety, scheduling, contract change management, and quality plans.
Assist with construction management procurement activities, including scope development, evaluation criteria, and levels-of-effort estimates.
Prepare rough-order-of-magnitude costs for construction and construction change items.
Assist with oversight of construction management contracts for capital projects.
Help coordinate construction activities among transit operations, infrastructure, and contractors.
Assist with quality assurance for construction-phase processes and deliverables.
Attend construction project progress and topic-specific meetings to facilitate schedule and issue resolution and promote quality and consistency throughout the program.
Assist with management of the Adjacent Construction program.
Lead and/or assist in developing program enhancements to improve quality, efficiency, and consistency, including enhancements related to change management, construction look-aheads, right-of-way flagging support, bidding, construction management and construction contract procurements, and specification updates.
