Your work environment at EXP In this role, you will be a part of the Guam team, based in our office in Guam, a U.S. Territory, focusing on the Pacific region.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, or related field
Minimum 7+ years of progressively responsible construction engineering or construction management experience
Experience managing construction projects
Knowledge of construction methods, contract administration, scheduling, and cost control
Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and engineering standards
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management software
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills

Nice To Haves

Professional Engineer (PE) license, or ability to obtain licensure preferred
Certified Construction Manager (CCM), PMP, or other relevant professional certification preferred
Experience with federal projects for NAVFAC, USACE, DoD, FAA, or other government agencies preferred
Familiarity with Guam construction practices, permitting requirements, and local regulations
Experience managing aviation, transportation, utility, water/wastewater, military, or waterfront infrastructure projects

Responsibilities

Manage and oversee construction projects from pre-construction through closeout
Document all activities on site during duration of the contract and prepare inspection reports.
Oversee, document, review, and assess contractor’s compliance with contractual requirements.
Review construction documents and drawings in order to minimize issues and to reduce the potential for extra work orders during construction.
Take accurate and detailed measurements of all work performed by the contractor to ensure accurate payments.
Reading and interpreting drawings and specifications.
Observing general job safety practices.
Monitor construction progress, schedule, budget, quality, and safety compliance.
Review construction plans, specifications, contracts, submittits, RFIs, and change orders.
Conduct field inspections and document construction activities.
Ability to work as a team.
