About The Position

AECOM is seeking a Senior Data Center Construction Manager for its Buffalo, New York office. The role manages multiple construction projects, including new construction and renovations, across pre-construction, design, construction phasing, closeout, occupancy, and warranty enforcement. The manager coordinates construction activities with the client, client vendors, the general contractor, project teams, and other stakeholders, and helps ensure projects are delivered in accordance with design, budget, schedule, and quality requirements. The role also supports construction documentation, inspections, field coordination, project controls, punch-list completion, and review and approval of pay applications. The position is on-site, requires openness to relocation, and may involve up to 90% travel anywhere in the United States.

Requirements

Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science degree plus ten years of experience, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Must be open to relocate.
Potential for up to 90% travel anywhere in the United States.

Responsibilities

Manage activities for multiple construction projects, including pre-construction, design, construction phasing, closeout coordination, occupancy, and warranty enforcement.
Organize and coordinate construction activities with the client, client vendors, and other stakeholders.
Understand project schedules, critical milestones, schedule logic, and basic construction means and methods.
Plan and organize reports and review documentation from multiple project teams.
Provide technical direction and guidance as needed, administer client policies, maintain close communication with the project team, and ensure projects meet design, budget, schedule, and quality requirements.
Coordinate with the general contractor to schedule contractually or government-required tests and inspections, and arrange delivery of reports to the Owner and Architect.
Review punch lists and verify listed items are complete and corrected before recommending substantial completion to the Owner.
Monitor construction progress and process field construction documentation, including validating and logging RFIs and submittals.
Provide engineering support and coordinate construction field activities with inspectors.
Coordinate required meetings with the general contractor and attend all site-based meetings.
Coordinate project documentation with Project Controls cost and schedule reviewers.
Review, comment on, and approve pay applications.
Review and document the condition of off-site stored materials, including collecting insurance documents and bills of sale to support Owner pay-application review and approval.
