Senior Construction Manager (Water/Wastewater)
About The Position
Kennedy Jenks is expanding in the Seattle metropolitan area and is seeking a Senior Construction Manager to lead major water, wastewater, and infrastructure projects. This is a high-impact role in a rapidly growing market, with projects often spanning 3 to 7 years. The position offers the opportunity to lead critical infrastructure projects that serve communities and play a key role in the firm's continued growth in the region. The ideal candidate thrives in a leadership role, enjoys field work, and wants to contribute to building and expanding essential infrastructure, supported by a national, employee-owned firm.
Requirements
- 10–20 years of experience managing complex construction projects from start to finish
- Background in water, wastewater, stormwater, or related infrastructure
- Proven ability to lead teams and successfully deliver projects in active construction environments
- Strong working knowledge of construction methods, contracts, and project delivery approaches
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and lead across diverse stakeholders
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or similar
- PE license (or ability to obtain)
Nice To Haves
- Experience with tools like Procore, SharePoint, or Unifier is a plus
- Certifications such as CCM or PMP are a plus
Responsibilities
- Serve as the day-to-day leader on major infrastructure construction projects
- Act as the primary point of coordination between clients, contractors, designers, and field teams
- Drive project execution across scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety
- Lead field teams, providing direction, mentorship, and accountability
- Oversee construction administration activities including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and progress payments
- Facitate project meetings, resolve issues, and maintain strong communication across all stakeholders
- Ensure alignment with contract documents, project goals, and client expectations
- Manage subconsultants and support overall project delivery
- Represent projects in client and public-facing settings when needed
