About The Position

Overwatch Mission Critical is seeking a Senior Construction Manager (CM) to serve as the on-site representative for project execution. This role involves overseeing project progress from pre-construction through final handover, documenting daily activities, and facilitating communication between the project team, A/E team, General Contractor, and local utilities. The Senior CM will monitor budgets and schedules by reviewing contractor pay applications and change order requests, and will be responsible for identifying and escalating potential risks related to schedule, cost, safety, and quality. A key aspect of this role is to provide daily, unfiltered updates and participate in regular meetings to ensure transparent communication regarding project health. The Sr. CM (WSFO) role is more customer- and client-facing than typical Sr. CM (Base Build) positions.

  • Must be able to walk, stand, stoop, twist, bend, and climb stairs or ladders for extended periods while navigating uneven, unpaved, or obstructed terrain.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
  • Must be able to drive between job sites and access all areas of an active construction zone, including raised platforms, scaffolding, and confined spaces.
  • Must be able to tolerate exposure to outdoor weather conditions, dust, and construction-related noise, vibrations, and odors.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with contractors, engineers, and site personnel, and maintain situational awareness in high-activity environments.
  • Must have sufficient visual acuity to read drawings, specifications, and safety signage, and to observe site activity.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the team's on-site eyes and ears from pre-construction through testing and final handover, documenting daily progress and job-site activity.
  • Attend and facilitate meetings with the General Contractor, design team, and local utilities to stay current on project status.
  • Review General Contractor pay applications and change order requests for accuracy and completeness.
  • Identify and immediately escalate potential risks — schedule, cost, safety, quality — to the team.
  • Track and document progress on MEP work, including power and cooling infrastructure, through daily logs and infrastructure trackers, flagging any concerns to the team.
  • Provide daily, unfiltered updates — logs, photos, and trackers — and participate in regular meetings with the team leadership and the design team.
