About The Position

ELITS Canada Inc. is seeking a Senior Construction Manager - Telecom for its operations in Vancouver. This role is part of Accelerate at Iver, a global company focused on technology and digitization projects. The Senior Construction Manager will be responsible for all Civil Works (CW) activities, including financial control, scheduling, service provider performance, and quality assurance on assigned projects. They will ensure compliance with company standards, processes, contractual obligations, and all applicable regulations, while also identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience managing large-scale construction or telecommunications infrastructure projects involving 200+ sites.
  • Strong ability to identify and solve complex problems by adapting established methods and developing improvements.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and contribute to continuous process improvements.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proven track record of project documentation, CW quality control, and financial accountability.
  • Canadian residents (persons with work permit in Canada).

Responsibilities

  • Assess and control all charges against the agreed site design.
  • Ensure only customer-approved materials are installed on the project.
  • Enforce adherence to company CW guidelines and project schedules.
  • Attend coordination and progress meetings as required.
  • Maintain on-site supervision, especially where there is a risk of service disruption to customer operations.
  • Ensure a safe working environment; conduct safety inspections and verify that all tools and equipment are in proper working condition.
  • Resolve CW issues as they arise during the project.
  • Coordinate cross-discipline site activities to align with overall project goals and objectives.
  • Drive project scheduling activities and troubleshoot delays or conflicts.
  • Ensure SPs and vendors meet all technical specifications and quality requirements as per contract and customer expectations.
  • Enforce all company, federal, local, and customer safety and construction standards throughout the CW phase.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of worker safety and environmental safety requirements.
  • Perform site pre-inspections and coordinate post-construction audits.
  • Conduct site verifications and perform visual inspections to ensure quality.
  • Prepare scheduled progress reports and provide accurate updates to project management.
  • Provide technical support to SPs and other suppliers engaged in CW activities.
  • Reject incorrect or non-compliant material deliveries to the site.
  • Report substandard performance, safety violations, or quality issues.
  • Ensure proper interpretation and adherence to civil design plans.
  • Supervise, coordinate, and monitor the work of SPs and other teams interfacing with CW components.
  • Lead on-site teams with a focus on quality, safety, and timely delivery.
  • Prepare and manage claims, order and return materials, and maintain documentation accuracy.
  • Maintain and update construction data within Site Handler, including (but not limited to): Statement of Work (SOW) and preconstruction documents such as Notice to Proceed (NTP), SOW, Radio Frequency Data Sheets (RFDS), safety guidance, and QA standards.
  • Verification of NTP receipt.
  • Review and revision of RFDS submissions.
  • Review and approval of CW acceptance documentation.
  • Daily progress verification for Project Financial Approval (PFA).
  • Review and sign-off of all close-out documentation.
