About The Position

TAK Broadband is a leading end-to-end U.S. fiber broadband network construction contractor operating in 42 states. It builds more than just networks; it connects communities to new valuable digital opportunities. TAK offers comprehensive service solutions, from construction to drops to fulfillment. TAK’s ecosystem of partners allows it to successfully complete every project starting from the first point of conception. This includes engineering teams, distributors, and more than 100 qualified construction crews with extensive experience across all ISP types and markets; over 300 experienced bury drop crews; and more than 700 professional technicians. We are seeking a Project Manager to join our team. In this role you will oversee project planning, budget management, and team coordination while ensuring regulatory compliance and quality standards are met. We are seeking a professional with a combination of strong leadership abilities with technical telecommunications knowledge to deliver successful projects on time and within budget. You will work closely with stakeholders, manage cross-functional teams, implement risk mitigation strategies, and maintain comprehensive project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of project management experience in telecommunications experience
  • Strong understanding of fiber optics, wireless networks, VoIP, broadband, and other telecom infrastructure
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrates exceptional adaptability in learning and responding to changing conditions
  • Superior analytical capabilities for interpreting complex datasets and translating them into actionable insights
  • Strategic problem-solving approach
  • Ability to navigate various work environments, including construction sites, industrial facilities, and office areas, often involving walking on uneven surfaces or climbing stairs/ladders
  • Ability to safely operate a vehicle for regular travel to multiple job location sites
  • Capability to perform training demonstrations when required
  • Primarily computer-based work in an office environment involving project management software, telecommunications planning tools, and collaboration platforms
  • Regular virtual meetings with nationwide team members, clients, and vendors using enterprise video conferencing systems
  • Must be able to travel +/- 80% annually
  • May require occasional weekend or after-hours availability
  • Must provide a valid government-issued photo ID for verification; a driver’s license is required if the role involves driving
  • Passing of all pre-employment requirements (MVR, Background Check, Drug Screen)

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, Business, or related field
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or related project management certification

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, and resources for telecommunications projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective completion
  • Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, clients, and regulatory bodies to align project goals and expectations
  • Lead cross-functional teams, including engineers, field technicians, and contractors, ensuring smooth workflow and communication
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions
  • Ensure all telecommunications projects comply with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies
  • Monitor project expenses, prepare financial reports, and ensure cost-effective solutions while maintaining quality
  • Travel +/- 80% annually to project sites, client locations, and partner facilities
  • Oversee quality control processes to ensure that all installations and deployments meet company and customer expectations
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, track progress, and provide regular reports to senior management and stakeholders
