About The Position

HDR is seeking a Senior Civil Construction Inspector to observe and document construction progress on civil infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, water and wastewater facilities, pump stations, and pipelines. The inspector may serve as the most senior inspector on projects and mentor junior field staff, providing supervision as needed. The role involves working with other field representatives and Project Managers, interpreting construction drawings and specifications, and identifying discrepancies or conflicts in project documents.

The position requires at least five years of experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, strong written communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Candidates should be committed to active participation in HDR’s employee-owned culture. Successful completion of pre-hire drug screening is typically required, with random and cause-based drug and alcohol testing thereafter.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience.
• Proficiency with MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Successful completion of pre-hire drug-screening procedures is typically required; employees are thereafter subject to random and cause-based drug and alcohol testing.
• Commitment to actively participating in HDR’s employee-owned culture.
