This position is responsible for operating and monitoring computer systems and peripheral equipment within a command center environment inside University Data Centers. The position helps ensure overall availability and reliability to meet or exceed defined service levels of the data center. This is a hybrid position, working three evenings onsite and one evening remote. The onsite vs. remote days are subject to change. This is a 4-day x 10-hour shift with three days onsite and one day remote. This position is security sensitive and subject to university guidelines and Texas Education Code §51.215, which authorizes background checks for security-sensitive positions. This position provides life/work balance with typically a 40-hour work week and travel limited to training (e.g., conferences/courses).
