About The Position

MSH Americas is seeking a Senior Manager, Compliance & Privacy Officer to act as a regulatory guardian and lead global commitments to security, transparency, and operational excellence. This high-visibility leadership role will oversee North American operations and liaise with global offices. The position requires a versatile leader capable of advising on AML laws, leading data privacy investigations, and navigating audits.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in Compliance and Contracts, specifically within the Insurance industry.
  • Deep background in Audit, Risk Management, and AML.
  • Expert communicator capable of negotiating with Executive Management and regulators.
  • Analytically minded and detail-oriented, thriving in high-volume environments.
  • Post-secondary degree in Business, Law, or a related field.
  • Fluency in English.

Nice To Haves

  • French language fluency is a major asset.
  • Paralegal training or professional compliance certifications are highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for regulators in Canada, the US, and the UK, managing corporate licenses and "Key Person" applications.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for business units, translating legislative changes into actionable advice for new territory product launches.
  • Lead global compliance efforts for GDPR, PIPEDA, HIPAA, and other data protection regulations.
  • Build a culture of privacy through initiatives like "Lunch and Learns" and proactive Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs).
  • Investigate and remediate privacy complaints to maintain trust with members.
  • Maintain the Corporate Risk Register and conduct annual AML and vendor risk assessments.
  • Own the delivery of internal and external audits (including ISO 27001 and SOC 1/2/3), transforming audit findings into operational strengths.
  • Oversee the contract management platform, reviewing legal components and collaborating with external counsel.
  • Serve as the Records Retention Officer and oversee physical security protocols.
