About the position
We are seeking a passionate and experienced software engineer with a strong interest in software security to join our Munich team. The role involves working on our app analysis tool, AppSweep, which allows app developers to test their apps for vulnerabilities and privacy issues. The ideal candidate should have a background in iOS or native code, with experience in the LLVM toolchain and a focus on real-world threats. They should also be able to prioritize tasks, constantly improve our codebase, and work independently.
Responsibilities
- Research, test, and implement additional analysis techniques.
- Research newly found issues in apps and develop detection techniques.
- Maintain and improve the existing code base.
- Support customers in the usage of the software.
- Stay up-to-date with reverse engineering practices.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Computer Science, or similar practical experience
- Excellent modern C++ skills
- Experience in mobile security, e.g., experience with common analysis techniques like data flow analysis and program slicing techniques
- Previous experience working with complex code bases
- Familiarity with LLVM tools and libraries
- Experience in low level programming and debugging practices that come with it
- Experience with iOS app development (useful skill)
- Experience with reverse engineering and the commonly used tools, for example radare, Ghidra, or IDA pro (useful skill)
