Join Casey's HR Total Rewards team as a Senior Compensation Specialist! As a Senior Compensation Specialist, you'll play a key role in developing, delivering, and managing compensation programs that align with Casey’s business strategy and workforce needs. You'll lead core compensation processes—including job evaluation, market pricing, salary structures, and incentive programs—using data-driven insights to guide decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • At least 6 years of experience in compensation, HR, finance or a related analytical field.
  • Strong knowledge of compensation principles, practices, and methodologies, including pay design, market competitiveness and internal equity.
  • Proficiency in job evaluation, market pricing, and salary survey analysis, with the ability to apply results to inform compensation decisions.
  • Advanced Excel skills required, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis to support compensation decisions.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation preferred.
  • Experience designing and administering incentive and bonus programs, including complex or field-based pay structures and performance-driven plans preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic compensation partner to assigned business areas, aligning programs with business priorities and acting as a trusted advisor to leaders and HR partners.
  • Provide consultative support on compensation matters such as market analysis, cost modeling, organizational impact, and guidance on offers, promotions, and pay adjustments. Enhance tools and processes to improve consistency and user experience.
  • Lead market benchmarking activities, including survey participation, job matching, and analysis to ensure competitive and equitable pay practices.
  • Partner with HR and leaders on job design, leveling, and evaluations, maintaining consistency in compensation frameworks and job architecture.
  • Support annual compensation cycles (merit and incentive), including planning, modeling, system readiness, and communications. Collaborate with HRIS and IT on system improvements and data integrity.
  • Lead the design and administration of incentive programs, including corporate and field-based plans.
  • Contribute to strategic compensation initiatives, driving process improvements that enhance efficiency, scalability, and the employee experience.
