About The Position

The Senior Compensation Specialist plays a role in the implementation, evaluation, and administration of global compensation programs. This role conducts market pricing, performs job evaluations, supports the annual salary and incentive planning cycles, and assists with the functional configuration and ongoing maintenance of the Workday compensation-related modules.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 5 years of progressive experience in compensation analysis, market benchmarking, and total rewards administration.
  • Workday Core Compensation module experience.
  • Basic to intermediate familiarity with Workday business processes, compensation eligibility rules, and custom reporting.
  • Proficiency with compensation survey tools and platforms (e.g., Payscale).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, conditional formulas).
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex compensation concepts to managers and HR partners.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working for a public company with compensation coverage across multiple countries is preferred.
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation or working toward certification.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret market data to assess internal equity, external competitiveness, and pay trends.
  • Formulate recommendations for pay range adjustments, pay differentials, and job family alignment.
  • Perform formal job evaluations using established methodology to determine proper job levelling, job family classification, pay range, and FLSA exemption status.
  • Help maintain the Company’s job architecture catalog, ensuring consistency in levelling and pay structures across business units.
  • Participate in annual and specialized compensation surveys (e.g., Mercer, Willis Towers Watson).
  • Conduct ad-hoc market pricing requests for recruiting, talent retention, and organizational restructures.
  • Support the planning, preparation, and execution of annual merit increases, promotional budgets, and annual and quarterly bonus/incentive distributions.
  • Prepare audit reports and data validation files prior to and during the cycles to ensure accuracy of compensation inputs.
  • Assist with the preparation of guidelines, training, and troubleshooting support for managers and HR.
  • Assist in configuring and updating Workday Compensation components, including job profiles, compensation plans, eligibility rules, and compensation packages.
  • Partner with HR Technology teams during Workday release updates and compensation cycle setup (e.g., Merit process configuration, business process adjustments).
  • Perform user acceptance testing (UAT) for system enhancements, new compensation plans, or workflow changes.
  • Ensure underlying compensation data integrity in Workday through regular audits and system updates.
  • Assist in creation of custom Workday compensation reports and dashboards to support data-driven decision-making.
