Companion / Caregiver – Novi, MI
About The Position
A warm, gentle, and reliable caregiver is needed to assist an ambulatory older adult living with advancing age and dementia. The role provides evening support focused on routines, personal care, safety, comfort, and companionship, along with light household assistance. This is a private, family-hired position; caregivers are hired directly by the family and are not employed by Wellthy. The schedule is 5 to 7 days per week from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM, with the potential for additional daytime hours as needed. The home is smoke-free. The start date is ASAP. Compensation is $25–$30 per hour. Candidates are subject to a background check and must provide proof of legal authorization to work in the United States. Requirements
- Experience working with older adults with dementia or memory loss.
- Hands-on experience assisting with evening routines and personal care.
- Ability to provide patient, compassionate, and attentive evening support.
