The Senior Communications Specialist supports the Tennessee Initiative for Perinatal Quality Care (TIPQC), Tennessee’s perinatal quality improvement collaborative, which works with hospitals, clinicians, payers, families, and community partners to improve pregnancy, delivery, and infant-care outcomes across the state. The role develops and carries out integrated communications that elevate TIPQC’s mission, increase engagement, and support key deliverables, including work connected to the Rural Health grant and TIPQC work plans. Working with TIPQC leadership and stakeholders—including Tennessee’s 35 birth hospitals—the specialist develops and manages communications strategies, raises awareness among internal and external audiences, and supports recruitment for TIPQC projects. The role coordinates content across the website, social media, e-newsletter, app, podcasts, press releases, hospital recognition, and other print and digital channels. It also project-manages strategic communications campaigns and special initiatives and supports written deliverables such as the Annual Report. The position is remote from a home office, with a preference for a Nashville-area candidate able to travel throughout Tennessee. The schedule is Monday through Friday during traditional daytime business hours; mileage for routine travel is reimbursed.
