As senior communications manager, you will be responsible for managing external and internal communications that advance HNTB’s business goals and carry out HNTB’s brand messages. You will work closely with subject matter experts to plan, develop and implement content and create memorable experiences through events and forums. This role requires a person with knowledge of how best to convey messages in multiple formats and across communication channels.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism or related field and 10 years corporate communications or agency experience
  • In lieu of degree, 14 years of relevant experience
  • Excellent writing skills

  • Strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and in a timely manner

Responsibilities

  • Develops communications strategy and leads programs in alignment with HNTB’s business goals, including industry engagement, awards, HNTB’s publications, advertising, presentations, collateral, thought leadership articles, social, web and internal content and videos.
  • Develops engaging and informative content that is consistent with brand messaging for a variety of communications channels including internal, social and web platforms.
  • Collaborates with team members to develop and implement programs that carry out HNTB’s brand messages.
  • Supports the development and logistics of various events, such as conferences, meetings, open houses, forums and other events.
  • Tracks communication programs effectiveness and proactively suggest improvements as needed.
  • Updates and maintains internal and external contact lists.
  • Maintains strategic national and local partnerships with key organizations.
  • Manages communications budget for specific programs.
  • Researches and implements current industry trends on communication approaches.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
