PavCo is the owner and operator of two of Canada’s premier venues for events, BC Place Stadium and the Vancouver Convention Centre. Shared Services is hiring a Senior Communications Manager to cover a 14-month maternity leave. In this role, your focus will be on leading the communications strategy for our beautiful and sustainable Vancouver Convention Centre. The Senior Communications Manager will play a critical role in developing and executing our communications strategy for the Vancouver Convention Centre, as well as supporting the broader communications and marketing teams across PavCo, including working closely with the marketing team for the Convention Centre and the marketing and communications team at BC Place. In this role, you will use your strategic skills and innovation as you lead and enhance the communications function for one of the world’s most recognized facilities and leading economic generators. Creating and executing the communications strategy will include employee communications and engagement, media relations and issues management, social media support, community relations and special events support. You will bring a passion for events and play an important role in enhancing the well-established profile and reputation of the Vancouver Convention Centre with a wide variety of community, industry and government stakeholders, and local and international trade media, while creating communications opportunities through various channels and resources to boost the facility’s image with clients and key stakeholders.
