About The Position

The Senior Communications & Media Relations Specialist is a highly strategic role responsible for shaping and executing CEVA’s internal and external narrative across North America during a period of increased visibility and business complexity. Based in Houston, TX and reporting to the Head of Communications & Marketing for North America, this role serves as a trusted communications partner to senior leadership, operations, and cross-functional stakeholders. The position focuses on internal story and content development, media relations, and high-impact program and event communications, supporting large-scale, multi-year initiatives that require precision, discretion, and seamless coordination. The role will lead the development of executive-ready content, facts, talking points, and press materials; drive proactive and reactive media engagement; and help establish and support on-the-ground communications capabilities in key markets. Success in this role requires exceptional writing and editorial judgment, strong media instincts, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders while operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment. The ideal candidate brings a blend of strategic thinking, operational execution, and calm leadership under pressure.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • 7–10 years of progressively responsible experience in corporate communications, media relations, or content strategy (experience in logistics, transportation, infrastructure, or complex B2B environments strongly preferred).
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills across formats (internal communications, press materials, executive content).
  • Demonstrated experience supporting media relations, including press materials development, pitching, and spokesperson prep.
  • Experience supporting large-scale programs, events, or multi-stakeholder initiatives with high visibility and reputational impact.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • High level of discretion and sound judgment when handling sensitive or confidential information.
  • Ability to work effectively with senior leaders, cross-functional teams, and external partners.
  • Calm, adaptable presence with the ability to operate confidently in dynamic, fast-moving environments.

Responsibilities

  • Develop clear, compelling internal and external content that translates complex operational initiatives into cohesive, audience-relevant narratives.
  • Create and maintain core communications materials including fact sheets, backgrounders, FAQs, executive briefing documents, talking points, press kits, and content toolkits.
  • Support executive communications, including leadership messaging, internal updates, presentations, and prepared remarks.
  • Ensure consistency of voice, messaging, and positioning across all channels and stakeholders.
  • Support North America media relations strategy, including proactive story development, media pitching, and reactive press support.
  • Draft and coordinate press releases, statements, and media responses in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external PR partners.
  • Prepare spokespeople through briefing documents, message pull-through guidance, and interview preparation.
  • Monitor media coverage, assess message penetration, and provide insights and recommendations.
  • Support communications planning and execution for large-scale programs, milestones, and high-visibility events.
  • Assist in establishing communications support for on-the-ground teams, including playbooks, messaging alignment, and real-time coordination.
  • Collaborate with operations, legal, HR, and regional leadership to ensure communications are accurate, aligned, and approved.
  • Manage timelines, dependencies, and deliverables across multiple workstreams.
  • Act as a central point of coordination for communications inputs from internal teams, leadership, and external partners.
  • Navigate competing priorities and sensitivities with strong judgment and professionalism.
  • Maintain communications processes, approvals, and documentation to support consistency and risk mitigation.
